Freelance Artist || Caring Nurse || Fanfic Writer || Gaming Fanatic || Tactical Explorer
Bonjour. My full pen name is Bonnelle "Starduster" Joyeux, but you can call me Bon or Bonnie for short. I'm a nurse and freelance artist that loves video games to a fault and loves to draw and write to burn off steam once in a while. I'm just looking for a place to dump all my ramblings and other things since Dreamwidth is no longer working on my end. I've been thinking of creating an online website for a while now, so, uh, here it is.
Nowadays, I've been trying to get into other games at the moment and I have a whole bucket list of games I have to finish. Aside from drawing and writing, I also code from time to time. When it comes to fandoms, I'm a fan of various fandoms (way too many to list), but I'm specifically into anything Nintendo and Marvel related.
Bonne Chance, Bonne Chaunceur, Bon Soren, Blake Draken
A mix of "good luck" in french ("Bon Chance!"). This was my French name when I was in French class in high school. Bon in particular means "good" or "great" in French, but it's also slang for candy and sweets called Bon-Bons (people often said I was generally sweet and kind). Blake Draken was my screen name in various MMORPGs, specifically Final Fantasy XIV and now Marvel Rivals.

A Rococo noble lady, a writer under a pen-name whose work became a classic after I perished, or a WWII nurse.
I hope I am. I try my best to be friendly towards others. I also think just being mean and nasty to others is just wrong.
Reading, writing (both original works and fanfiction), book collecting, jailbreaking old gaming consoles and computers, photography and video editing, cosplay, LARPing and roleplay, origami, journaling, web design, cooking and baking, video games, thrifting
Drawing, 3D modeling and rendering, typing fast (dunno, people just seem to notice how fast I type), knowing random useless facts about stuff
Blow Pops (those lolipops with gum in them) and Pocky
Still being alive and able to accomplish things despite every roadblock in my life.

I care about you, Stranger. More than you will ever know.

Since... middle school?
I had an passing interest in web development. Mostly, I just used sites like Weebly or Wix. Then I got into it thanks to roleplaying websites like AniRoleplay.
A customized portfolio website for my art and an online personal journal to document my life. Kind of like a digital time capsule.
I have an idea with the design. Basically, I run on vibes, man.
I have a whole tab dedicated to just Neocity websites that are so good. I'd be listing them for days... I'll probably get around to listing my all time favorites after I go through all of them.
Designing the website to fit my tastes. I could be sititng in front of my computer for hours just refressing one small detail consistantly until it's just right.
Starting from scratch. I'm still new to HTML, and creating code from complete scratch is still an uphill battle for me...
Different styles, though I try to stick to some cohesion like color scheme and fonts.
Eh, somewhat confident. Still trying to get my bearings.
What?
I need my stuff spaced out. Can't tell you how happy I was when I found out that this was how you make paragraphs.
Find a template I can use first. See Question 8.
A little bit.
Nope!
Barely, but every page at leasts sticks to a color theme and singular other theme.
I used to, but I didn't want to pay monthly to keep it. Maybe one day I will to give off a more professional look.
I love them so much! Feels like I'm going back in time when the internet was like the online wild west.
Maybe. Too lazy to check...
I think they're cute!
It looks clunky, but I still love them!
Probably something completely different.
I won't lie. Yes.
Again, what?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Another host, though I should host them on my own server soon.
I don't have an opinion because I've never used Nekoweb. Didn't even know there was a debate.
Uh, I don't know. Is that a bad thing?
Yes. Absolutely.
Depends on the content. If it's more text-heavy, then I prefer simple.
I try to stick to a pink and white color palette.
I have. Multiple times. In fact, I did. But I came back because I really wanted a place where I could call "home" on the web, if that makes sense.
Solitary hobby, though I wouldn't mind sharing this with others.
Not this one. Most people know my old portfolio website.
Starting to be everyday in the wee hours of the night.
Sometimes.
A bit of all three, really.
Nope.
I think it would be pretty cool to get paid to make websites. I'm currently both a freelance artist and CNA nurse.
Very often. It's like my go-to way to communicate. If not, Discord works too.
I only keep Reddit and YouTube. I got rid of Twitter around 2019 because of Elon and in general it's a miserable site filled with the most toxic people. I moved to Bluesky after 2024 and I do use it more, but not by much. I used to use Instagram a lot in the late 2010s, but now I rarely ever use Instagram because of the horrible updates. It's basically an inferior version of Tiktok with everyone acting like a monitoring spirit. Also, the algorithm barely pushes art onto my feed anymore, which was the only reason why I had the app.
Absolutely keeping Discord. That's where all my friends, roleplay partners, and organizations I'm a part of congregate. I use WhatsApp for my family abroad. I do have a Telegram too, but I don't use it that often.
Yep, mostly K-pop and Visual Kei. I do listen to Lady Gaga or Michael Jackson ocassionally.
I seperate them. Easier to keep track of all of them that way.
Many topics, but their split up in tabs and other pages.
Both. I want to be my authentic self, but I also use a persona. I try to mix the two.
Not yet, but I hope so soon.
For now, yes.
Autoplay. Nothing against autoplay, but I want to listen to my music, not yours.
Eh, I don't know. I'm aware that everyone's skill level is different when it comes to building a website, so I don't have a stong opinion.
What?
Not really. Most people just default to Google Chrome, but I do know some some people who prefer to use FireFox or some other browser like Brave or Tor. I can only hope that my website works on those browsers (I work in Brave, which is just Google Chrome without the invasive ads).
Brave Browser. I can't really say much than it's a Chromium Browser (i.e. works exactly like Google Chrome) and has a built-in ad blocker. Sometimes the Tor Browser, but please only install it if you plan to surf the dark web (even then, you have to be very careful where you go).
Windows OS. Used to be on Mac OS for a time, but it's very limited for the things I want to do (such as gaming). I have Linux as a backup on an external hard drive, just in case (and because I genuinely hate Windows 11).
Somewhat. I unfortunately use Windows OS.
Ha! No.
Absolutely not.
I'm not in any webrings yet, but I would love to join one one day!
Not yet, but I'm planning to make one for a few characters soon!
No, but it does look fun to join.
A personal art portfolio where I don't have to pay a subscription for upkeep, but also a personal blog to gather my thoughts and a resource for others to use. Basically, a catch all website.
Yes! And I do design some of my own assets.
Fool Lovers, Alice Home, Glitter Graphics
Bitting my inner lip. Force of habit. I'm sorry.
Find inspiration on what you want your website to look like and don't be too intimidated by the code. Once you learn how to manipulate the code, it gets easier and fun!
Keep all my styling in CCS, but I do want to learn how to hard-code certain things on my website.
I'm fine with them, but they aren't that pretty to me...
Same as above.
I like three column layouts the most. To me, the more the better!
The HTML for sure.
I don't think so, but I could be wrong...
When the need arises.
Somewhat in the middle. I wish I could make layouts from complete scratch, but I don't think I'm that good yet.
Very rarely unless I really like the design.
A long time ago in school durring computer classes. It inspired me to create websites on places like Wix.com where I made my first (terrible) personal website. Later, on roleplay sites like Aniroleplay, I started to play around with the layout of my roleplay profiles because I was inspired by other peoples roleplay profiles.
Yes. A lot. :)
I forget that I can do that, especially when I'm writing LONG paragraphs with pictures.
I use px first.
I do like elegant or cute fonts. I really don't have much of a preference.
No. I have my reasons.
Yes. I've grown tired of social media and I miss the old web. There's still a "Wild West" outside social media and there's so many awesome websites out there!
Yes and I'd be estatic if someone bookmarked mine! :D
The design and maybe the art and writing on it?
Yes. I collect old video game consoles and older tech.
Maybe too long online lol, however, I've been cutting down on my screen time recently.
Artists and really anyone who's interested in my website.
No.
I have a long time ago. It was a small script, I think. I forgot what it was for however.
I don't like them.
I've been thinking about it, but I don't know.
I usually brows old video game fourms and a few roleplay fourms ocassionally to find roleplay partners.
I write it directly into the editor.
I hope so. IRL, a few people say that I'm a pretty interesting person once they get to know me better.
Yes and sometimes I do, but I also keep them because I use them as a keepsake and a reminder of how far I've come.
Leave it in an archive.
I think I reveal a bit too much about myself on my website, but on social media, I'm more secretive. Just lurking tbh.
No.
I try.
Tiresome, but very intuitive. Gave me some introspective on how far I've come with website design so far.
